People tell you to post content when “most people are on Instagram”. Like, when everyone wakes up and scrolls through their news feed and watches stories.
I will now fully debunk these well-established tips …
First of all, people are angrier or grumpier in the morning. They are not in the mood to buy something. Just think of yourself and you‘ll understand why selling content in the morning is not really a good idea. In the morning, all sorts of entertaining content is good: memes, beautiful views, kittens and simple storytelling without deep philosophy.
Secondly, it’s not at all true that everyone goes out to have fun on Friday night. And even if they do, most of the time they still spend time on Instagram. They post their own stories and watch other people’s stories while they wait for their order or while they wait til it‘s their turn to sing karaoke songs.
Thirdly, there is no universal advice about the perfect posting time. Everyone has different content, different audiences with different habits. If you post something every six months, it doesn’t matter what time you post. And if you post 3 times a day, then it’s better to think about the time (but don’t post 3 times a day 😅)
So anyone who says you “must post in the morning” or “ONLY in the evening” does not know what they‘re talking about. Don’t listen to anyone except your audience. Test it out: post in the morning, evaluate the reaction, draw conclusions. Do the same at lunchtime and in the evening. Rely only on your audience, and not on any advice of “gurus” on the internet.
I hope that I answered your question as honestly and clearly as possible.
