Mixing niches

If you are out of ideas for posts, borrow content from other areas.  I often use this strategy with my clients.

Let’s say you are writing about psychology.

Poke your finger into a random sphere and associate it with psychology.  Let’s say cars. It would seem that cars and psychology don‘t have that much in common, right? But they do!  I‘ll show you:

– Why do people want expensive cars, if it’s mainly just a means of transport?

– Why do people become more aggressive while driving?  Is it everybody else‘s fault or yours?

– How to make the car interior psychologically more comfortable?

I just made these ideas up, because I am not a psychologist and I am not a driver at all.  And in your areas you‘ll be like a fish in water and you can squeeze out many more interesting topics.

Let’s take another example and combine the topics of marketing and travel:

 – Which country is the best place for marketers to live in?

 – Where will a marketer from your country succeed?

 – How did marketers sell us a beach-type of holiday?

Mixing weight loss and interior design:

 – Which kitchen interior details subconsciously stimulate your appetite?

 – Which interiors make you feel a bit depressed, which cause you to overeat?

 – Things a plus size person should have in their house: a strong bed, a comfortable Ottoman chair in the hallway, a long shoehorn and a strong office chair.

Let’s chat on this topic in the our FB group. Ask for advice, brainstorm & share ideas and tell us about your experience with mixing topics.
