You know those moments when you’re reading something so gripping that you don’t even notice the kettle boiling in the background? The water’s bubbling, the kettle clicks off, but there you are, eyes glued to the screen. You just need one more minute to finish that last bit. What kind of magic is this?
And then there are times when you’ve got all the peace and quiet in the world, no distractions, but you still can’t seem to get through the text in front of you. You find yourself drifting off, thinking about anything but the words you’re supposed to be reading. Why does that happen?
Let me tell you about textual magnets. These little wonders make you read without stopping. Without them, you’re like a balloon floating aimlessly, ready to be whisked away by the slightest breeze.
So, what are these textual magnets, you ask? Well, imagine ending every paragraph or section with a little hook, a tease, something that keeps your reader’s eyes glued to your words. Think of it as a magnetic force that pulls them right back in, not letting go.
A good magnet could be a question or a clever phrase that leaves a bit of intrigue hanging in the air. For instance, in this very text, I’ve sprinkled a few of these magnets:

Why does that happen?
What are these textual magnets, you ask?
See what I did there?
You can create magnets without questions too. Like when you say, “I didn’t give up and found a new solution” – the reader naturally wonders, what solution? Or, “We thought it was rock bottom, but then something unexpected happened” – what happened next? Or even, “But Poppy turned out to be full of surprises” – what did Poppy do?
Picture human curiosity as metal. It’s there in everyone. Your job is to place those magnets to draw that curiosity in.
Now, you might be wondering, how does this affect your income? Quite directly, actually. You see, the counters showing views and likes on your posts are just numbers unless those views translate into real, deep engagement. You could throw heaps of money into ads to get those views, but if people aren’t genuinely reading and connecting with your content, it’s all for naught.
The key is to make sure those views are genuine. You want people to not just “see” your post but to actually read it, feel it, connect with it – from start to finish. And that’s where these textual magnets come into play. Use them well, my friend.
P.S. I know it’s been a while since I posted, but I’ve got a stash of new tricks up my sleeve that I can’t wait to share with you. Stay tuned!
