Reach doesn’t always have to mean growth. You can’t always improve content every time you publish a post. Just accept that.
Sometimes reach in- or decreases, which is due to a bunch of factors that are impossible to predict, even if you are a content genius.
Please forget the phrase:
“Everything that doesn’t grow slowly dies”. All this phrase means is „anything that doesn’t grow simply doesn’t grow“ and that‘s it really.
It was taken out of context and distributed by “gurus” designed to sell you courses. So in general, it would be a mistake to focus on one opinion post about what helps or prevents reach. You need to look at several publications – at least 5-10.
Yes, you should strive for growth, but you shouldn‘t worry about stagnant reach.
If there is a noticeable decrease in reach, then we have a trend for a decline in reach. Then we know that something‘s going wrong. And it‘s not necessarily you that did something wrong.
Maybe Instagram lags behind in general in your region. Maybe it‘s the holidays and no-one is online. Maybe the algorithms changed a little and you fell out of favor. It could be anything. You just have very little influence on your reach within Instagram’s algorithms. Just accept it.
The only thing you CAN influence is this:
Do your best in the moment.
Write an A+ post to the best of your ability.
Then there will be some growth.
And if there isn‘t, well, at least you did your best.
